Join us on Saturday, September 16, 2023 for the Brownsburg Community Association’s 6th Annual Run of the Mill 5K, a point-to-point road race, jog or walk from historic Brownsburg to historic Wade’s Mill.
The Run of the Mill course flows over slightly hilly tarmac terrain. The route bisects beautiful farmland, crosses several creeks all the while cheered on by local cows, sheep and residents. The race finishes at Wade’s Mill. It is a fun day for all and proceeds contribute to the Brownsburg Community Association’s support for student scholarships, first responders and community projects.
Registration starts at 8:30 a.m. at Wade’s Mill where runners will find ample parking. Buses will shuttle runners to the starting line in Brownsburg where the Race starts at 10 a.m. All ages, abilities and canine companions on leash are welcome!
Age groups: <10 | 10-15 | 16-20 | 21-30 | 31-40 | 41-50 | 51-60 | 61-70 | 71+
The top three female and male finishers receive prizes. First Prize is a custom shoe fitting and a free pair of shoes (limited to in-stock inventory) from Lex Running Store!
Prizes are also awarded to the youngest and oldest finishers and the first dog. All finishers receive medals. There will be awards and activities at the Finish Line and a free hot dog lunch for participants and spectators.

Pre-Registration: $20 which can be paid online (below) or $20 by check made out to the BCA. Pre-registration includes a “Run of the Mill” t-shirt!
Race Day Registration: $25
All participants receive a swag bag and other goodies.

From Interstate 81/64, take Exit 205 for Raphine/Steele’s Tavern and drive west for 4 miles on Raphine Road/Route 606.
From the interstate you will drive through Raphine and see Rockbridge Vineyard on your right after 1 mile. Continue for 3 miles and watch for the Wade’s Mill sign on the left. Turn right on Kennedy-Wade’s Mill Loop, drive past Buffalo Springs Farm and continue to Wade’s Mill straight ahead.
