Spring 2025 Barn Dance at the Mill

Save this Date:  19th April 2025!

Buy your tickets or make reservations early. The venue is a beautiful, rustic barn, but space is limited. Capacity is 50 guests. Proceeds will cover some necessary repairs to the Museum building completed last Summer. The event theme is Halloween Western Style. So dust off your boots and pull out your favorite jeans. Grab your cowboy hat and head over to the Hardings Barn on Sterrett Road at the intersection of McClure Boulevard.

The evening opens with charming stories of a Brownsburg lad offered by the expert and entertaining storyteller Gregg Clemmer.

Gregg’s story telling will be followed by Hog Back Mountain BBQ, Home-made Mac & Cheese, Coleslaw, Corn Muffins and delicious and festive cupcakes. Iced Tea and bottled water will be available. Wine and beer will be offered for sale throughout the event.

The Silent Auction table will be open for bidding on unique and wonderful items from your local friends and neighbors. Details coming soon. As you consider your bid, know that these are donations from friends to help the Museum. The donors are giving selflessly of their resources and time. Estimated retail values will appear on the bid sheets.

Bidding continues through dinner, and will be halted at 6:45. Winners will be announced shortly after. We will gladly accept your check, cash, or promise to pay by mail.

The Late Night Stumblers will play their special style of modern and classic country music from 7 till 9pm. Practice your line dancing ahead of time, or learn on the fly. You’ll be glad you wore your cowboy boots. You just can’t boot skoot and boogie as well in any other foot wear. The band members are local boys from Fairfield, and they are excited to show you their stuff.

Valet Parking and self parking in the adjacent field is provided. The walk from the field is up hill, but there is only limited parking near the barn. Wait by your car if you want valet assistance. We will have three ATVs to shuttle guests back and forth.
